More than 500 cats live at the "Devoted Heart" shelter. Every day we clean cages, hospital areas, isolation, and common rooms. Special attention is given to disinfecting surfaces that animals come into contact with.
Regular cleaning with detergents helps but does not always provide sufficient protection. For more thorough treatment, we use steam cleaners. Hot steam under pressure eliminates bacteria and viruses without chemicals, reaches hard-to-access areas, and is safe for animals.
This is especially important in the hospital, where weakened and sick cats are kept, and in isolation, where newcomers with unknown health status are housed. Steam cleaners are also essential for treating cages after animals have recovered.
Currently, several steam cleaners at the shelter have broken down, and the remaining ones cannot handle the workload. We want to replenish our equipment so we can treat the rooms faster and more thoroughly.
We are raising funds for new steam cleaners for the shelter.
We would be grateful for any help. Proper cleaning and disinfection mean the health of our cats and the safety of the entire shelter.
