Leila has cerebral palsy. She needs an active wheelchair

Leila is 14 years old. She lives in Krasnodar with her mom and dad in a rented two-room apartment. There are no relatives nearby — everyone is in another region.

Leila has cerebral palsy, spastic diplegia. She was born premature at 31–32 weeks, couldn't breathe on her own, and spent 13 days on a ventilator. That became the cause of everything that followed.

Now she cannot walk independently. For short distances, she uses a walker; for longer ones, she uses a wheelchair. But she doesn't give up. She regularly undergoes rehabilitation. In 2017, she had surgery on her legs; in 2020–2021, she had eye surgeries.

Leila is not about sadness. She loves creative activities: embroidery, sculpting, sewing, drawing, and felting. She enjoys computer games and helping in the kitchen. She loves listening to music and singing along loudly. She also loves to dance — though with a partner, with support.

She can already dive and swim, isn't afraid of horses, and can walk short distances holding someone's hand. But she dreams of more: riding horses, swimming in a pool and in the sea.

Her family is asking for help with an active wheelchair. So Leila can keep moving forward. The wheelchair Leila has now is already too small for her.

"We want to wish kind people that goodness always comes back to them. Many times over!" say her parents.
