Help the shelter purchase washing machines to cope with washing beds and other things

Every day, dozens of animals at the shelter leave behind a mountain of soiled items: bedding from the enclosures, diapers from the infirmary, and the beds where recovering animals sleep. All of this needs to be washed promptly to remove dirt, fur, and traces of illness.

Clean textiles are essential for the shelter’s health. Infections, fungi, or parasites can easily take hold in stale bedding, putting a recovered animal at risk of getting sick again and exposing its neighbors to infection. That’s why laundry runs nonstop, and a standard household washing machine quickly wears out and breaks down at this pace.

Right now, the shelter needs two washing machines to handle the entire workload. This will allow us to wash more and faster, without interrupting the shelter’s operations for even a single day.
