Emil is 6 years old, and his whole life has been a journey of overcoming challenges. He was born at 25 weeks, weighing only 850 grams. He spent the first months of his life in intensive care. He is a true fighter: in his 6 years, he has undergone five complex brain surgeries due to hydrocephalus, learned to live with DTsP, and manages epileptic seizures.
Emil is open, affectionate, and sociable; he loves walks in the fresh air and swimming pool activities. At home, he has his best friend—a cat named Lyolik. The boy can spend hours building houses out of blocks for him, and Lyolik sits loyally by his side.
Because of DTsP, Emil cannot walk without support, and fine motor movements are difficult for him. His speech is not always clear to others, and it is hard for him to express complex thoughts. Recently, Emil underwent surgeries on his legs, and now he is taking his first independent steps.
Now, his parents have an important goal: to prepare Emil for school. He really wants to study, dreams of sitting at a desk, and finding true friends.
To control epilepsy, monitor brain activity during sleep, and properly adjust his therapy, Emil needs to regularly undergo video EEG monitoring.
The boy’s family has exhausted their financial resources on previous surgeries and is asking for support to pay for this vital examination.
