Mukhtar is five years old. At two, he suffered a severe intestinal infection. Afterward, his parents noticed the boy's acquired skills began to fade: he lost speech, his ability to respond to spoken words disappeared, he became extremely picky about food, and he had frequent tantrums. Doctors diagnosed him with developmental delay and ADHD.

Mukhtar's main hope now is regular classes at the development center. These classes will help him regain what he's lost and learn new skills. Doctors say long-term rehabilitation will be effective.
