Salim will soon turn three years old. He has been diagnosed with the consequences of perinatal hypoxic CNS injury, manifesting as a muscle tone and motor syndrome.
Since he was three months old, Salim has shown signs of impaired motor activity. He is under the care of a neurologist, but every new skill has come to him with great difficulty: he started rolling over, crawling, sitting, standing, and walking later than usual. The boy took his first independent steps only at 1 year and 4 months, and even now he walks unsteadily and often falls. The reason is weak muscles in his legs and lower back. This same problem is hindering his speech development. At 2 years and 8 months old, Salim says only about eight words—he has a delay in expressive speech.
Salim has already completed two rehabilitation courses and has shown good progress. But for a real breakthrough, he needs several more courses to strengthen his muscles and learn to speak.
Unfortunately, due to financial difficulties, the family cannot afford this important treatment on their own.
