Only a special medication helps manage these conditions without harming the child. The drug acts on the central nervous system, improves metabolic processes in the body, facilitates adaptation to adverse psychological stressors, and helps cope with the severe consequences of the underlying disease. The medication is expensive, and unfortunately, the families we support cannot afford to buy it for their children.
