Help pay for round-the-clock nannies for lonely children in hospitals!

Our foundation receives daily requests to provide nannies for children in hospitals. The situations these children find themselves in are very different: they may be orphans, children removed from troubled families or found alone on the street, or they may have families, but their relatives cannot stay with them during hospitalization for very serious reasons.

For example, in one month our nannies cared for a large number of children who were admitted to hospitals from detention centers. In another case, one of our nannies looked after a girl who has a family, a brother, and a sister. The girl has had a musculoskeletal disorder since childhood and came to the hospital for an examination. Her mother couldn't come with her to Moscow because there was no one to look after her other small children. So our foundation provided a nanny.

Regardless of life circumstances, every child needs a nanny. When a child ends up alone in the hospital, it's not just frightening. Loneliness triggers a stress response that interferes with treatment: the body spends energy on 'survival' instead of recovery. Our nannies stay with the children 24/7: they support, care for, monitor medical instructions, and simply become trusted adults within the hospital walls. This is critically important for the children's recovery and psychological well-being.
