Timur will breathe freely for a year

The package with Gianeb for 6-year-old Timur Kondakov is on its way. Thanks to you we were able to raise the money for a year's supply of this life-saving medicine. Thank you to everyone who responded and helped. Timur is struggling with a serious genetic disease - cystic fibrosis. Several times a day the boy takes inhalations: without that there is no way to get the thick mucus out of his lungs. But the hypertonic solution, given to the family for free, causes Timka bronchospasms and suffocation. The only medicine that helps the boy breathe fully and does not cause allergic reactions is Gianeb. But it is very expensive and is not provided by the MHI. The last few months in the Kondakov family were not easy, not only financially. At the end of the year, on top of all the other misfortunes, Timur became seriously ill with flu - with a high fever and a suffocating cough. Only on New Year's Eve a small miracle happened - he recovered. Added to this joyful event was another: the money for Gianeb was collected. - I'm very grateful to everyone who cared, who took part and helped us, - says Timur's mother Elena. - This medicine is very necessary for us, it makes our son breathe easier. Now a new important stage of Timur's life is starting - preparation for school. Timka has already learned a lot. For example, to write. He wrote a letter to Santa Claus in his and his two-year-old brother's neat, childlike handwriting. He also reads fairy tales with an expression. One of his favorite books is about a kindly doctor Aibolit, who helps everyone. It's good that there are wizards not only in children's fairy tales. Timur knows this for sure now.

Timur needs medication to fight cystic fibrosis

"Good afternoon. My name is Timur. I am 5, but soon I will be 6. I really like assembling Lego constructors. And I also go to kindergarten, where I have a lot of friends. So Timur Kondakov from Arzamas started a letter to our foundation. Mom Lena typed everything at the son's dictation, and added things from herself that Timur does not pay much attention to yet. For example, that at 6 years old his son weighs only 16 kilograms, and that he does not really show up at the kindergarten because of his endless acute respiratory infections and bronchitis. There are two reasons for this. The first reason - cystic fibrosis, because of which the child's lungs are "tightened" with mucus, as if the two swamps. The second reason is an allergy to medications, which the state issues, and without which, alas, a cystic fibrosis patient cannot live for long. No one is surprised by allergies these days, but Timur manages. It's easier to say what he has no reaction to. He cannot eat milk, eggs, chicken or fish at all. He tried a piece of cod once in his life - he was pumped out in the hospital from the sharply increasing Quincke's edema. Medications, as it turned out, also cause a serious protest in the boy's entire body. But there is no way to do without them. Alas, the MHI does not provide Gianeb. And without it it is hard for Timur to be like everyone else, go to kindergarten, collect legos, and play with his friends. To live and not suffocate. Can we help him?
