Both of Safiya's kidneys have been removed; she urgently needs to continue treatment.

Safiya is only 7 months old, and she has a severe congenital disease—nephrotic syndrome. Both of her kidneys have been removed, and the girl's life depends on dialysis, a procedure that replaces kidney function and cleanses her blood of toxins.

Right now, the girl is in intensive care, and her parents are only allowed to visit for a few hours.

"When my little daughter sees me, she cries and wants me to hold her. But right now, I can't do that—she is breathing with the help of a ventilator. All I can do is pray that our girl will pull through," says Safiya's mother.

In her seven months of life, Safiya has spent only about a month at home. Two older brothers are eagerly waiting for her there.

To save little Safiya's life, her treatment must continue. But every dialysis session, examination, and doctor's visit must be paid for, because Safiya is a citizen of another country. Her father works without days off, but his earnings are barely enough for rent and the family's most basic needs.

Her parents are desperately asking for help! Let's come together to help little Safiya through this difficult journey in her fight against illness!

Your help is priceless!
