Recently, his mother noticed changes in Slava's behavior and began a comprehensive medical evaluation. The boy has already undergone a brain MRI, video EEG monitoring, and received consultations from a neurosurgeon and an epileptologist.
The next important step is whole genome sequencing. This was recommended by the doctor to obtain additional information about possible genetic causes of Slava's health issues and to take this into account when choosing further treatment strategies.
After receiving the results, Slava and his mother will consult a geneticist, who will assess them together with the results of other examinations.
