For many years, a closed-off shelter called "Island of Hope" (Ostrov Nadezhdy) operated on the grounds of the former "Karachevka" enterprise in the Kaluga region. The dogs there lived in poor conditions, and many had never even seen sunlight.
Charitable foundations and volunteers have joined forces to help these animals. We have committed to providing ongoing support to other shelters that have opened their doors to take in these dogs.
While the dogs are already receiving medical care, a critical problem has emerged: there is nowhere to house them.
Many of the animals are emaciated and ill. They require quarantine, a quiet environment, and a safe space where they can recover in peace.
We urgently need to purchase:
- Enclosures to quickly accommodate those who most desperately need isolation and rest;
- Construction materials to build these enclosures;
- Crushed stone to prepare the ground for the enclosures, protecting the dogs from dampness and mud.
Let’s work together to provide these animals with a safe haven where they can regain their strength and wait for their forever human.
