Umka's wards with severe disabilities use diapers throughout their entire lives.

They are provided with hygiene products through the compulsory medical insurance (OMS), but the quantity is limited. In addition, the diapers sometimes do not fully meet the individual needs of the children, which can lead to irritation.

Parents caring for such children always have to buy additional diapers themselves—this is a significant monthly expense. Often, such a child is raised in a single-parent family, so there is frequently not enough money.
