Valeria was a long-awaited child. She was born prematurely, at just 7 months, and spent the first weeks of her life in an incubator. Later, cysts developed in the back of her brain. At the age of 1.5, she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (CP). The cysts also severely affected the little girl's vision and hearing.
Lera is now 7 years old. She can sit with support, hold her head up, follow toys with her eyes, and hang from the rings of a wall-mounted gym ladder. Her hearing has improved, and she has started babbling and pronouncing syllables such as "ma-ma," "ga-ga," "pa," and "ba-ba." In addition to sessions with specialists, Lera spends 3 hours a day in a special standing frame. Together with her mom, Lera made a significant progress. Unfortunately, her father left the family when Lera was just 2.5 years old, saying he was tired. Since then her mom has been raising her daughter and taking care of her health all on her own.
Doctors say that Lera responds very well to therapy and exercises, so they recommended a special exercise bike - Raft Bike. It will help develop the joints, restore motor skills and coordination, maintain muscle tone and stimulate walking skills. Together with you we can help purchase this necessary exercise bike so that Lera could have the opportunity to continue developing and enjoy her childhood!
