Zornigor moved to Yartsevo from Tajikistan with her husband and daughters. It seemed as though a peaceful life lay ahead, but instead of a comfortable home environment, frequent conflicts with her husband began. Zornigor endured this for a long time—her relatives insisted that she could not leave—but the situation eventually became unsafe for the children.
The mother moved with her children to a rented apartment—but starting over was frightening: they barely had enough money, and there weren't even any beds in the apartment. Child protective services became interested in the family.
The Deti nashi foundation came to the rescue. They helped with the move, enrolled the girls in kindergarten, and bought the essentials: beds, dishes, clothes. And a psychologist is helping Zornigor cope with her trauma and regain her strength.
Now the family has found a small but very important sense of comfort. The girls have regained their appetite, and they sleep peacefully. Most importantly, they have hope: there will be no more fear ahead.
This fundraiser will allow us to pay for one month of a psychologist's work, who simultaneously supports 12 families in crisis. Largely thanks to the psychologist's work, children in these families can live at home with their relatives, rather than in an orphanage.
