Ruslan was born with spina bifida, a congenital spinal disorder. His parents were not prepared to raise a child with health problems, so the boy ended up in an orphanage.

At the age of one, he was taken into a family by Olga. At that time, the boy weighed only 7 kilograms, had significant developmental delays, and numerous related diagnoses. Despite the prognosis, Olga brought him home.

Contrary to doctors’ expectations, Ruslan learned to walk at the age of three, and by five he had even mastered running. However, in 2023, after a scheduled surgical procedure, he lost the ability to walk and had to start using a wheelchair. A repeat surgery that autumn required a long recovery period.
