Muhammad Yusuf was born in Tashkent, 29 weeks pregnant, weighing 1290 grams and 36 centimeters tall, in very serious condition. Doctors diagnosed him with ischemia and a heart defect.
Yusuf was in intensive care unit on an oxygen machine for two months, after resuscitation he was in the hospital for another month.
Although mother and child visited the doctor every two weeks after being discharged from the hospital, it was not until he was four months old that they learned the diagnosis of retinopathy of prematurity stage 4 at an ophthalmologist's consultation.
