Ulyana, having learned that she was pregnant with her second child, decided to give birth. But to feed two children without a husband will not just be difficult, but impossible – so the woman thought, because she has no one to turn to for help.
Ulyana is a former graduate of an orphanage and the thought of giving up a child hurt her very much.
After giving birth, the woman told the doctor that she wanted to give up the newborn.
The next day, Ulyana was already talking with a specialist of the "Mom is Near" service of our organization. After the conversation, the woman's heart rejoiced with joy, because her child would live with her. Now she is not alone and there are those who will support and help!
Every year in Russia, about 5,000 refusals from newborn children are registered. According to statistics, approximately every third refusal (30-40%) can be prevented if preventive work is carried out with the child's mother or both parents and of course help.
We collect 100,000 rubles for the work of the PON project - prevention of rejection of newborns, this amount includes: kits for newborns, food packages, medical services, personal hygiene products, services of a psychologist, a specialist in working with families, accounting services. In 2021, our organization received 13 signals of rejection of newborns from maternity hospitals, of which 12 women and 1 man kept a child in the family.
