Svyatoslav Lukin was born preterm, as early as 28 weeks, and only weighed 770g. Due to his prematurity and difficult delivery, Svyatoslav was diagnosed with stage 3 retinopathy of prematurity. The boy had previously undergone several eye operations with positive results.
As he grew up, Svyatoslav began to develop severe strabismus. Therefore there was an urgent need for surgical treatment of strabismus in order to improve visual function and stop the degenerative changes in his eyes.
Mother raises Svyatoslav alone and has always tried to pay for the treatments of her son before. Svyatoslav almost continuously undergoes a large number of supportive rehabilitation programmes. This is why his mother could not afford to pay for the boy's next surgery. She was forced to turn to us for help.
Thanks to the Toobers, we managed to raise the money to pay for Sviatoslav's surgery. The surgery was a success and the boy is now free from strabismus. His sight loss was also stopped and Sviatoslav will live a full life to the joy of his mother!
