Vova was born at 25 weeks pregnant weighing only 980 grams. He was on ventilator for over 3 months, had pneumonia, cramps, several blood transfusions, retinopathy, all the diseases accompanying a baby born at this term.
According to his mother, Vova survived by a miracle, in spite of predictions.
In his first year of life, the boy was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and epilepsy.
Today, at the age of 4, Vova is learning to sit, stand, walk, and understand the world around him. His everyday life is endless work: physical therapy, speech therapists, defectologists, massages, medicines. Vova cries during physical therapy sessions, but he does it with a defectologist with a great pleasure. The teacher jokingly calls him a nerd, because he enjoys studying letters and numbers much more than playing with toys. Vova has already learned almost the entire alphabet and counting up to 10!
The boy shows great promise!
In spite of his difficult situation, Vova remains a cheerful, kind and inquisitive boy.
Vova is in desperate need of a special wheelchair at home, adapted to his diagnosis, which will prevent the aggravation of his present and future musculoskeletal problems. Such a wheelchair will properly fix the child's body and allow him to exercise at home.
While mom has to carry Vova in her arms during the day, to lift him, to put him down. It's very hard, because the boy weighs 25 kg. In an ordinary chair, he does not know how to sit, and many exercises should be performed in a sitting position.
Let's help the boy, make his life easier and his dream of recovery closer! 🙏🏻
