Gully has spent last month in a hospital ward. In the same National hematological center where he had worked for four years before that.
She understood very early, in high school, that clubs and parties were just a waste of time. She started working instead. At first, she took any job she could get: call center, bank, jewelry store. She did the best she could to help her family and not to live off her parents.
Then she entered a university. She worked all days and studied all evenings. She rested only on weekends, on family trips to Pokrovskoe-Streshnevo, where she walked with her parents and drunk water from the spring.
Her junior year at the university she started to work as a document specialist for the National hematological center. She loved her job and worked hard, and in just few years she became chief office manager. She didn’t like to stay put, so almost every of her evenings had a plan: a gym, a shrink, a theater or an English lesson.
Something started to happen to her a couple of days before New Year. She felt so tired, she couldn’t do anything at all. Her throat was swollen, and it was hard to breathe. On the 3rd of January she fainted in the gym.
She fainted again a week later. That same evening, she found out that it all was happening to her because of acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
Now she spends days in the same National hematological center, but her role has changed. Now she’s a patient. She’s receiving chemotherapy, but it’s only getting worse. To cope with the disease, she needs a drug called Nelarabine. Unfortunately, there’s no other way to receive it for free, she must pay for it. And even though she has been working since high school, she couldn’t afford it.
Gully didn’t want to live off anyone, she wants to fight her fights and achieve all her goals by herself. But there’s always some fights that can’t be won just by oneself. Giully couldn’t fight cancer all by herself. She really needs our help in this one.
