Zlata was born on 22 September 2009 in Pervomaisk town, Nizhny Novgorod oblast. Her eyesight was affected at an early childhood in an accident.
When Zlata was just starting to walk, she pulled a tablecloth over herself from the table where the dishes were standing. The shards of the broken glass hit the girl's face and eyes. Her right eye has been completely blind ever since.
Despite this, Zlata grew up to be a very cheerful child. She loved to draw, make mosaics, cook, and did well at school. Although all that time she could only look at the world with one eye.
Two years ago Zlata's eye pressure began to increase sharply, she had severe headaches and eye pains. Zlata has already had several surgeries for glaucoma at the Helmholtz Eye Institute and Pirogov RDKB in Moscow.
And now she needs a surgery that will not only normalize the eye pressure, but also restore the sight in the affected eye. The operation itself - keratoplasty - is free of charge, but the material for the restoration of the cornea and a set of disposable instruments must be paid for.
Zlata's mother is raising three children on her own and she contacted us hoping for help for her daughter. Let's help Zlata get rid of her headaches and see the world with two eyes again!
