Andrei's parents had been planning children for a long time, but all attempts were unsuccessful for a long time. When the pregnancy finally happened, the parents were very happy. But during the pregnancy his mother became seriously ill and baby boy Andrei and his twin brother were born prematurely on 10 March 2020, almost halfway through the pregnancy, weighing only 620 grams.
From day one the baby had to fight for life and he and his mum spent the first 6 months of his life in hospital. By the time he was two years old, Andrei had undergone 5 eye operations and today he can barely see. He cannot yet crawl or even sit on his own because of central nervous system damage.
As soon as he is discharged from hospital, the parents start fighting for their child's quality of life. They try to help their son as much as they can: almost every month is scheduled. To do this they often have to leave their home in the village of Krasnobrodsky in Kemerovo region of Russia for different rehab sessions. In order for Andrei to start moving on his own, he will have to undergo a long rehabilitation course. But his parents have already spent all their money on the previous lessons. And now the boy needs to start a rehabilitation course at Shag Vpered Children Rehabilitation Centre (Tomsk city, Russia).
Together we can improve Andrei's quality of life and give him hope for a brighter future!
