Thanks to you, an electric wheelchair was purchased for the wards of PNI in Peterhof!

Often our clients from psycho-neurological residential institutions who do not walk independently encounter refusal on the part of the state to provide electric wheelchairs. In order to receive a wheelchair of this type, the children need to prove that they can operate the vehicle independently and do so confidently and safely. But since they have no experience in interacting with such wheelchairs, the skill is not formed. A kind of vicious circle is created. In order for Perspektiv's charges from the boarding school to qualify for personal technical means of rehabilitation, the team of the organization found a specialist who will help the children daily to develop the skill of operating the wheelchair. Now all that is left is to purchase a power wheelchair for daily training and pay for the expert's work, which requires money. Thanks to the collected funds, adults with multiple disabilities from the Psychoneurological boarding school #3 (Peterhof) will learn the necessary skills and gain one more piece of independence - they will be able to move around more freely. In addition, the children will have the opportunity to rent a stroller for a walk, to use it for trips into the city accompanied by a teacher, or for walks to the lake. This will expand the boundaries of their world - and make life for people with severe disabilities a little closer to the normal, familiar to all of us. Please support the kids in their endeavor. The fee includes the cost of a power wheelchair and a month's pay for an instructor who will work with our charges.
