The office of the Charitable Foundation named after Ani Chizhova is ready to welcome guests!

Xenia is 19 years old, but she does not know letters and cannot read. She fries potatoes, crawls around mopping floors, and takes care of her three younger siblings, but has been recognized as incapacitated. Just six months ago her life changed abruptly - she came into the care of the foundation and everything spiraled. For the first time in her life Xenia could talk to her peers, whisper secrets, and share her troubles with those who live the same way. This has only been possible since March 2022, when the foundation was able to find a suitable room on the first floor, free for wheelchair meetings, where you can drive in quietly, roll around inside, even use the toilet yourself. It is such a joy for all the foundation's beneficiaries to meet together, the center is called the Joy Center, at every meeting there is laughter and everyone shines with smiles. Meetings of teenagers are unique - the guys participate in them online, communication takes more than three hours and even have time to eat all together, and the group is large: they come from all over the city and on the Internet connect with all the remote villages, parents are specially taken away to another activity and all young people, along with volunteers are independent. That is why they need equipment for movement, an elevator and a special sink for the disabled, and a speakerphone and a video camera for Internet communication. Now the center conducts rehabilitation sessions with the younger children - the ergotherapists develop skills of holding a spoon, combing their hair, ability to move independently from the chair to the floor and back, they teach to move on the floor correctly, so we urgently need a special warm floor covering and an amazing dry pool for relaxation of the muscles. Parents are used to the fact that any rehabilitation costs a lot of money, but our foundation does it all for free and each family is happy to come to the center for lessons. We appeal for everyone's help to support the desire of children with incurable diseases to become independent, to stop feeling like a "burden at home" for all the relatives, to help the children accept themselves and learn to communicate with their peers.
