Jeannette is 7 years old. The girl's main diagnosis is an autism spectrum disorder, which is why she does not speak, cannot eat on her own, and tantrums often occur.
Thanks to the passage of regular rehabilitation courses, Jeannette gained an understanding of converted speech and began to form self-service skills!
So, the behavioral analyst carried out work to establish managerial control, thanks to which the girl began to listen and perform the tasks of the teacher, and she significantly reduced the number of episodes of undesirable behavior. The specialist also introduced the PECS alternative communication system to the girl (communication through cards), now Jeannette can show others what she needs at the moment, and it became easier for parents and teachers to understand her, which also led to a decrease in the number of tantrums. Work was actively carried out on expanding the diet and the formation of self-eating skills, parents were given recommendations on how to consolidate this skill at home. Jeannette learned to perform motor movements and simple instructions on her own, and the girl's large and small motor skills improved significantly. The specialist also worked with the girl on the formation of the basic necessary self-service skills.
After classes with an adaptive sports instructor, Jeannette learned to keep her balance, follow instructions with an object (hoop, ball, cones), exercise on simulators, climb stairs, jump over barriers and much more.
