Fatima had an operation and preserved her eyesight!

Fatima Jalolzhonova was born in Jizzakh, Uzbekistan, together with her twin sister, in the 28th week of pregnancy. At birth, the baby girl weighed 1600 grams. At first she was in intensive care unit on ventilation for almost three weeks, and then she was nursed for several weeks in the department of pathology of newborns. At the age of 2 months, the doctors diagnosed the girl with retinopathy of prematurity degree 4. In November 2021 Fatima had a successful surgery on her left eye and then a week later on the right eye at Children Clinical Hospital in Saint Petersburg. The girl successfully recovered from the first stage of treatment and now she needs to undergo the second stage of surgery on both eyes. This surgery will save her eyesight. The girl will be 9 months old in the middle of May. She is very fond of her parents, older brother and twin sister. She loves to play with rattles and musical toys, laugh together with her brother and sister. Unfortunately, the family cannot afford to pay for the second stage of surgery for Fatima.
