A parcel with life-saving medications for 10-year-old Goga Hounanian recently arrived in Tyumen. Thank you for lending a helping hand to the girl by buying medications for a period before they started giving them away for free.

Doctors diagnosed Goharik with pulmonary artery hypertension, which is provoked by a genetic disease. More and more blood clots keep forming in the girl's blood. And there's a great risk that at any moment they could break off and cause a fatal blow to the child's body.

Because of the disease Goga in the last year ceased to be like herself: the minimum activity leads to shortness of breath, a five-minute trip to school exhausts like a marathon. To thin the clots, doctors prescribed Goharik the expensive drugs Opsamit and Revacio. They needed to be taken constantly, and it was important to start treatment as soon as possible. While her parents were trying to get drugs from the government, your help came.

Goharik needs medicine to beat the disease!

For the last three years, parents do not recognize their restless Goarik. The always nimble girl suddenly began to refuse walks and outdoor games, pulling her mother's hand more often: "I'm tired, let's sit down. The five-minute road to school now seems endlessly long. At first, Marine's mother thought that it was her daughter's whims, adolescence, a desire to get attention. It was understandable, since Goga is the eldest in a large family. But when she began to notice her daughter shortness of breath after climbing stairs, she suspected something wrong. It took her several years of examinations in Tyumen, Armenia, and Moscow to reveal pulmonary hypertension caused by a genetic disease - thrombophilia (a blood clotting disorder). In other words, more and more blood clots are constantly forming in the child's blood, clogging the vascular bed of the lungs. Doctors say that blood clots can break off at any time and cause a fatal blow. To thin them out, Goharik was prescribed expensive drugs, Opsamit and Revacio. She has to take them constantly, because the broken genes provoke the formation of new blood clots. Marinė applied for free medicine, but the bureaucratic procedures require time, and Goarik does not have it. The medication is needed now, but the girl's parents cannot afford to buy it. It is very important to support a child in such a difficult moment, when the help according to the Mandatory Medical Insurance is at hand, but it is impossible to wait.
