February 9th started as an ordinary day of sophomore student. Ukash woke up, had breakfast, and went to the university. 19 years old he’s studying to become a lawyer. It was a day full of lectures, hanging out with friends, and some football afterwards. But then he suddenly found his nose bleeding unstoppably. Local clinic, then regional hospital. Multiple tests, screenings, worried faces of his doctors. A month later Ukash found himself in hematological center in Moscow, far from home and his ordinary life, with the diagnosis — aplastic anemia. It was shocking not just for Ukash himself, but for his whole family. His whole life his family was proud of him: smart, athletic, communicative, with great expectations for his life. He even started school when he was only 5 years old, a year earlier than all his year-mates. In his home village Chiri-Yurt in Chechnya Republic everyone knows him as a good-natured and cheerful guy. After school he went to multiple additional classes, he won prizes in contests, and he easily made it to a university. All the free time that left after studies, he spent on a football field, and he was good at it too. It seemed that everything was going according to a plan, he was going to reach all his goals instantly. But then all plans and goals were crashed by the disease in the blink of an eye. Ukash spent two and a half months in the hematological centre, and his family spent all their time and powers to support him in his fight against the disease. He underwent several courses of medications and bone marrow transplant, but it’s still not enough. He needs expensive drug — colistimethate sodium or Colistine — to procced with his fight. It costs 225 thousand rubles, which is just huge amount of money for his family. They can’t raise it without our help. Ukash fights hard against the disease. He fights for his life, for coming back to his belowed family, studies, and sports — to his fantastic normal life, he enjoyed so much. He just need a little support from us.
