Igor is seven years old. The boy was born prematurely and spent a long time in hospital.
When the boy did not hold his head at 3 months of age, his parents began to contact neurologists, but they said that the child was born prematurely and would catch up.
It was not until he was 11 months old that he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. And after hearing the scary diagnosis the struggle for a healthy future for the child began.
At this point the full diagnosis sounds like this:
cerebral palsy, spastic diplegia with severe impairment of motor functions. PDMD. Dysplasia of the hip joints. Flat foot. Febrile seizures.
Igor has undergone many rehabilitation courses, and after each course there is improvement. Little by little our hero is walking to his goal - to walk on his own feet.
Now Igor needs Botulinotoxin injection, which relaxes muscles and makes it easier for him to walk and improve rehabilitation results.
Parents cannot pay for the expensive injection, only his father works and all the money is spent on medicines, doctors consultations, examinations, exercises at home with physical therapy specialist etc.
How Igor wants to run with the children at the playground! When his mother takes him for a walk, he literally jumps out of the pram, wants to run to the children.
Let's help this child take a step towards recovery!
