Meeder underwent successful liver surgery! It was not an easy process. Because he is HIV positive, he had to fly to his hometown. He had to go to his home country and get treatment to lower the viral load. Otherwise, the surgery would not have been possible.

When Meder flew back to Russia, he was unable to cross the border and was deported. Fortunately, they were able to find a way to get Meder to Turkey. There the man was operated on. Surgeons removed the affected part of the liver. Now he is at home feeling better, recovering and seeing local doctors.

We wish Meder to recover and fulfill his plans: to be engaged in agriculture and to provide for his family.

Meder's treatment cost less, so we managed to help another ward of our foundation with the funds we raised: Elmira, a 56-year-old deaf-and-dumb woman, underwent gastric surgery, a gastrostomy. The woman developed obesity as a result of taking hormones. She could not even straighten her back. Her abdomen was big, while her legs were thin and did not hold her torso. Now Elmira is recovering from the surgery. We hope she will become healthier and more energetic and be able to work the way she dreams.

Meder needs urgent surgery. He has a deadly liver disease. Doctors have given him a deadline of two months. ⚡️

The man is 36 years old and has two children.

Meder's health is getting worse by the day.

Diagnosis: Alveococcosis (a parasitic liver disease that causes disability and can be fatal)

Meder's liver is almost completely damaged and it is urgent to cut off the diseased parts, leaving the healthy ones.

If there is no liver left, a transplant will have to be done, which is much more expensive and requires a family donor who is willing to share his organ. Finding a donor for an adult male is very difficult. There is practically no time to do it.

The surgery cannot be done in his home country, Kyrgyzstan. Russian doctors from the A.I. Burnazyan State Research Centre for Bioethics and Biotechnology can help.

However the operation is not free for foreign citizens and its cost is very high - 1,515,436 roubles. Several funds are collecting the money.

After his recovery, the man dreams to return to his homeland and be engaged in agriculture.
