This lovely little girl's name is Yesenia and she is four years old.
She was born with a congenital malformation of the right ear, including the absence of an auricle.
Her family searched for a long time for a way to help and at last they managed to show the girl to doctors from USA, who for more than 30 years have been helping children to obtain good hearing and conduct surgeries for ear piece reconstruction.
It took almost 2 years to collect money for the operation, and it happened. The doctors shaped the ear canal and performed an earplasty with a special implant.
From then on, Yesenia's life has changed. Her vocabulary has increased, she can stop swallowing word endings, and she has a very pretty ear. Today the girl can recognise whispers from a distance of 5-6 metres. This is a very good result.
However, after a while, the little girl had a wound in the area of the suture, which still does not heal. The implant is exposed.
The only way to stop further bareness is to replace the implant. The surgery was scheduled for 17th May 2022, but due to lack of money to buy plane tickets, it was postponed.
