Akhmat is 2 years old and has a congenital heart defect. Doctors diagnosed him right after he was born and started to treat him with medication. Unfortunately, the pills did not help, the disease only began to worsen. Doctors had one last chance to cure the boy - a heart surgery.
Since Akhmat does not have Russian citizenship, he cannot count on a quota. His parents asked our foundation for help, since they could not afford to pay for the expensive operation themselves.
The boy does not eat much because of his disease, he is slowly gaining weight, and he suffers from shortness of breath at night. But doctors reassure parents: after the operation is successful, the boy will catch up with his peers in weight and lead a normal life.
The operation will be performed by experienced doctors at the Filatov Pediatric Clinical Hospital. But time is of the essence. It is necessary to eliminate the heart defect as soon as possible to keep Akhmat's life out of danger.
