At 3 years old the boy was found to have chronic immune thrombocytopenia (blood disease), at 5 years old he was diagnosed with focal epilepsy and at 8 years old he was diagnosed with focal cortical dysplasia, which causes epic activity.
A child who is a resident for therapy, that is, drugs do not help him, needs urgent surgery.
Afzaliq's mother applied to our foundation with a request to help pay for the preoperative tests: mrt with anesthesia under the epileptic program, long-term EEG monitoring of the multi-day monitoring with fixation of attacks.
These examinations are not affordable for the child's family.
