Little Said has cerebral palsy. Childhood cerebral palsy has many different forms. Children with mild forms of cerebral palsy may have slightly different gait, children with severe impairments may not walk at all or even speak. Said Dolgiev has a severe form of cerebral palsy, the boy lags behind in psychomotor development. He speaks little, does not sit well, practically does not walk, falls on any uneven surface.
Sayid is a very kind and sociable child, but because of his illness he is often capricious and nervous. In order for the boy to walk normally, he needs rehabilitation at the center. There doctors and teachers will work with Sayid, improve his overall physical condition, strengthen his back and limbs muscles, exercise with a speech therapist will help the boy to put a speech and Sayid will have a chance to learn to walk independently.
