The clinic in Nicaragua needs an ambulance car!

We believe that all people should have a right to live a longer, healthier life. That’s why we created Health & Help – a volunteer organization that provides basic medical care for people living in the rural regions of Central America. We care about all patients – no matter what language they speak, what their social status is, what they believe in – and we help even those who cannot pay us back. Their joy, gratitude and, most importantly, wellbeing is all that matters. We are currently running two clinics in Guatemala and Nicaragua: both of them are located in remote villages far away from big cities. Every year our doctors see at least 6’000 patients – some of them are even traveling from other settlements! But some patients cannot travel to us. They may be too old, too weak, too heavily injured, or simply may not be able to afford the ride. And that’s when we need to make a move ourselves. The H&H clinic in Nicaragua is located in an overly remote area with extremely hard-to-travel roads. These roads are more or less impossible to commute on foot and in cases of extreme emergencies, the lives of our patients depend on how fast we can travel on these roads. Our clinic needs an ambulance which we will use to transport patients who need emergency assistance to the hospital, reach more communities with our medical brigades, and buy medications and supplies which can only be bought in the capital, among other things.
