Asiya and 3 other wards of the Foundation underwent genetic testing!

Asiya was born a healthy, rosy-cheeked baby, gaining weight and smiling a lot. But as soon as the girl was 2 months old, she began to be ill too often and for long periods - intestinal inflammation, constant colds and otitis media appeared.  The child was treated for many illnesses, but nothing brought relief. Now Asiya is 10 months old. Because of frequent inflammations and digestive problems, the girl is not gaining weight - her body is severely weakened. Doctors suspected a congenital immune disorder. But only a complex genetic study can determine the diagnosis. This is a high-tech analysis, which is expensive - it is not included in the MHI system. Only genetic research can help Asiya and three other Sunflower Foundation wards to cope with the disease. Having made an exact diagnosis, doctors can prescribe a treatment which will interrupt Asiya's course of illnesses, help her to put on weight and keep up with her development.
