Salim has been battling acute lymphoblastic leukaemia for seven years. He has already undergone several courses of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. The donor was his mother. He has not been without complications: a graft-versus-host reaction has appeared, attacking the child's skin and mucous membranes. Now Salim needs thorough skin care — bandages, antifungal creams and ointments. The treatment will help him to get his hands and feet healthy again.
