Our dear benefactors, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for the timely financial assistance in purchasing a hard Chenot-type corset for our seriously ill child. Emir has tetraparesis of the arms (always bent) and legs (always straightened), and the degree of paresis of both arms and legs is different. This leads to asymmetrical development of muscles that stretch the spine also with varying intensity. As a result, scoliosis (lumbar and thoracic) of severe grade 3 and 4 occurs. The orthopedist recommended urgently start using the Chenot brace. The corset should fix the current position of the spine and then straighten it during correction. The next stage is treated only with the help of spinal surgery with the installation of a titanium plate. It was very important for us to use the chance to avoid surgery and get a corset.
