Hadji Murad is 14 years old. Since birth, he has suffered from frequent and severe infections. Doctors diagnosed the boy with a congenital immune disease that impairs the functioning of many body systems. Hajji's lungs, joints and intestines are the most severely affected.

Every six months the boy has to be examined in a specialized medical center. And every month he must receive replacement therapy with donor antibodies. "When there are no medication interruptions, Hajji gets sick less often. He becomes alert and cheerful," says Aset, the boy's mother.

But now Hajji's family has been unable to obtain his medications for three months. Officials say that the drugs have not yet been purchased and that no one knows when they will be available. We can't wait, because every day without therapy there is a danger that he will develop even more dangerous complications.
