Thanks to your support, 22 babies have been born at the Spina Bifida Foundation in the past months!

Approximately 1,500 babies are born each year in Russia with the diagnosis of Spina bifida. Doctors can detect this congenital abnormality of the spinal cord even during pregnancy. The Spina Bifida Foundation is raising funds for a project to help pregnant women who are expecting a child diagnosed with Spina Bifida. With the funds raised, the project will help pregnant women - Receive counseling from the best doctors and a referral for intrauterine surgery to prevent severe disability of the baby - Consult with experts on the treatment of children diagnosed with Spina Bifida and learn more about the specifics of the diagnosis - To get help in arranging urgent surgery to correct a spina bifida immediately after birth. - To get psychological, legal and targeted help. Since the project was launched, more than 70 women have already got timely help and more than 20 unique intrauterine surgeries have been carried out, which have given birth to healthy babies.
