Dmitry Tochilin is an Arbat artist, cartoonist. His kind portrait sketches always pleased surrounding people. He was able to see something special in people at first glance and emphasize it with his skillful hand. But unfortunately, since April 2022, Dmitry has not drawn a single portrait and has not even picked up a pencil. Dmitry had a stroke this April.
Unfortunately, at that time Dmitry was alone in his apartment. In the morning he called up his wife Maria, who had left for another city, the man felt unwell. And after that he did not get in touch with her. Maria urgently changed her tickets and returned back home, where she found Dmitry unconscious. It is not known how long he spent in this state, but four days have passed since their last conversation.
But a miracle has happened – Dmitry has survived. He spent two weeks in the intensive care unit. The stroke took away the most important thing from the artist - his eyesight and hands.
Now Dmitry is moving in a wheelchair, his left side doesn’t work well, he sees double. A still young and strong man is now in the care of his fragile wife. He urgently needs rehabilitation to regain his independence and learn how to move. And, hopefully, the artist will take up the pencil again or find another way to fulfill his creative potential
