Alim underwent successful heart surgery!

Alim is 10 months old and needs heart surgery! ⚡ Alim was discharged home two days after his birth. When the family paediatrician visited him, she said there was a murmur in his heart. The baby was referred for an Echo. And then he was admitted to hospital for tests. This was in the baby's home country, Kyrgyzstan. The diagnosis was: ALA (pulmonary artery atresia) type 4. But the local doctors refused to operate and advised to take the child to Russia. Thanks to your help, Alym has already had his first surgery at Bakulev National Centre of Cardiovascular Surgery in Moscow. After that, Alim's condition improved: severe dyspnea is gone. The child is developing, holds his head on his own. But still the body is weak, he cannot sit or walk on his own. There is a lividity of the skin, nails and lips. There is a need for the second stage of the operation, which hopefully will be the final stage and lead to the complete recovery of the child. Alim is a calm and very diligent boy.
