Lusik came to our shelter as a very young child under the trapping program. The boy was quite healthy, but, as usual, life on the street had left its mark. In January Lusik was diagnosed with trichomoniasis. Trichomoniasis is a disease caused by protozoa of the genus Trichomonas. Usually these microorganisms live in the large intestine and can cause inflammation.
But there is good news - it is treated. Now Lusik has been prescribed medication, after which he will need to be re-examined by a doctor, undergo tests and undergo an ultrasound scan. Also, for the duration of the entire treatment, he needs special food, which will help the cat's digestive system return to normal within a month.
After all the treatment, Lusik should make a full recovery, and we will actively look for a home for him. The guy is still very young, has a gentle character, loves to play.
