Thank you for helping to raise funds for Eugenia! She needs a bone marrow transplant to cope with her leukemia. Unfortunately, a suitable donor was diagnosed with an infection and Eugenia herself relapsed. The transplant had to be postponed. Now Eugenia is undergoing a new course of treatment to go into remission.
We bought a drug for Olga, a ward of the Foundation, with the money raised.
She found out that she had blood cancer during pregnancy. After three months of treatment, Olga gave birth to a son. But she was not able to spend time with her baby. Olga stayed in the hospital and continued her fight against acute promyelocytic leukemia. The baby is being cared for by relatives and her husband.
Standard chemotherapy cannot beat the disease, so Olga needs a special medicine. The medicine is not registered in Russia, it is impossible to get it for free. The family could not buy the drug on their own after a long and expensive treatment.
Thanks to you, Olga received the necessary medicine and is now undergoing the last course of treatment. She feels well, and doctors hope that soon she will be able to return home to her son.
