About a dozen immunocompromised cats live in our shelter. And, of course, such animals rarely find their home, although with this disease, with proper care, they can live for quite some time. Nevertheless, they get sick more often than healthy animals. With an exacerbation of the herpes virus, such cats are very helped by the drug favirox. These pills are quite expensive, but unfortunately there is no good cheaper replacement for them. Now the Nika Foundation is raising funds for the purchase of 12 packs of favirox, which is enough for about six months for those animals that are especially vulnerable to the herpes virus.
