Thanks to your kindness, Milana will get a class with a defectologist!

Milana has cerebral palsy and developmental disabilities, and spent the first years of her life in an orphanage: her family left her when she was born.

Foster parents took Milana from the orphanage when she was three, at that time she could not walk or speak. But Milana was surrounded by her new supportive and loving family and she began to develop actively.

Now Milana is already in the fourth grade and next year she is going to start secondary school. Milana studies twice a week with the Foundation's speech pathologist, she is diligent, which is why there is a significant improvement - both parents and teachers notice this.

Thanks to the lessons Milana is learning better, she has also begun to communicate with the other children and she loves to draw!

But she is still struggling with a lot of things because of her health problems and the consequences of the years she spent in the orphanage. To prepare for middle school, Milana needs to continue to work with a defectologist.

The educational defectologist helps Milana to develop in all spheres of cognitive activity, and strengthen her knowledge and skills. The tasks in the school curriculum become more complicated from grade to grade and require that the student's thinking operations become more complex. Milana needs more time, effort, and practice to master the material.
