Sterilization is the only humane and effective way to control the number of stray animals. Statistics show that many pet owners still neglect this simple and healthy pet procedure.
The Nika Charitable Foundation is implementing the "Smart Care" program, which gives a real chance not only to influence the problem of homeless animals, but also to prevent the unwanted reproduction of their pets by low-income citizens.
Homeless kittens and puppies are unlikely to find their home, but rather die from diseases or under the wheels of cars, and packs often cause a negative attitude towards all animals in general.
Sterilization in private clinics is expensive and not available to everyone. As part of the Smart Care program, the fund conducts operations at a reduced price. Citizens who do not have the financial ability, employees of enterprises in industrial zones, animal rights activists, volunteers and guardians of stray animals can take advantage of preferential sterilization.
This program is costly. First of all, the drug for anesthesia - Telazol, which is not cheap. And without it, no complex medical manipulations are possible.
