At the age of 87 Lydiya Ivanovna doesn’t sit still. She’d been working in the clothing industry all her life - factories and plants, then she left for her native village in the Kostroma region – being planting potatoes, living by the farm. Over time living alone in the countryside became hard, so she decided coming back to St. Petersburg close to her daughter. Now mother and daughter, both pensioners, live together. Lydia Ivanovna also takes care of her older sister, who needs care. Serious hearing loss prevents her from staying active and communicating fully.
