Several hundred dogs live in the shelter of the Nika Foundation. The Foundation doesn't talk about animal care staff very often, even though they are a very important and indispensable part of the shelters. It is these employees who, after examining doctors, take care of newly arrived animals. They keep the enclosures clean, feed and walk the animals.
But due to the large number of animals, it is very difficult for our employees to walk the dogs for a long time. And then volunteers and friends of the foundation come to the rescue, who regularly come to walk and communicate with the four-legged animals. This is very important, as a socialized animal is more likely to find a home.
Leashes and harnesses are required for walking. Most of them are currently in need of replacement. The Nika Foundation is raising funds for the purchase of 10 strong harnesses and leashes, which will serve as assistants in walking and socializing dogs for several years!
